PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and conveyed his condolences to the Italian people over the tragedy that struck Italy in the wake of the recent earthquake. The prime minister told his Italian counterpart that Israel is ready to provide such assistance as may be requested and noted Israel 's experience in dealing with rescues and rehabilitation.
Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi thanked Prime Minister Netanyahu. It was agreed that the Foreign Ministry would - in the coming days - prepare to dispatch a delegation of Israeli trauma experts to Italy . The conversation between the two leaders was held following the message that Prime Minister Netanyahu sent yesterday, in which he expressed his condolences to his Italian counterpart.
