Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel telephoned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, congratulated him on his election and wished him success.
Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi expressed his outrage over yesterday's murder of thirteen-year-old Shlomo Nativ. Both leaders stressed the need to continue bilateral cooperation.German Chancellor Merkel commended Prime Minister Netanyahu and emphasized her commitment to the continuation of friendly bilateral ties.
