Netanyahu: Cease fire must include ending the delivery of rockets to Hamas in Gaza
In an exclusive interview to Channel 10, Likud chairman Netanyahu said "we must not return to the mistakes of the tahadiya. We need deeds, not words, to stop the smuggling of missiles to the Hamas . We do not want to see the citizens of Sderot, Ashkelon or Tel-Aviv threatened by rocket fire".
Netanyahu said that the country is functioning extremely well, both the IDF and the home-front. "I have a good word for everyone about their functioning during the war in Gaza. The main question: Is how is the state of Israel functioning? The answer - it is functioning quite well."
Relating to Gilad Shalit, Netanyahu said that "I do not want to tie Gilad Shalit publicly to the efforts to achieve a ceasefire. Every prime minister does whatever he can to return captive soldiers, and any public talk might harm the chances of returning him."
