Netanyahu to German FM: Europe Must Stand Behind Israel
In a meeting with German FM in Tel Aviv Netanyahu urged Europe to stand behind Israel so as to avoid legitimizing war crimes and terror.
Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu met yesterday with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. In the meeting, Netanyahu told the German minister that "All of the people in Israel are united in the desire to remove the rocket threat and in the conviction of the just battle against the Hamas"
Netanyahu called on Germany and all European countries to stand behind Israel in an unequivocal manner. Netanyahu warned that not supporting Israel will be interpreted as legitimizing terror and war crimes against civilians.
"I have no doubt that under the same circumstances you would take similar action" said Netanyahu to the German FM.
