Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu met this afternoon with the extended "Troika" delegation of the European Union. The mission is led by Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg of the Czech Republic, which currently holds the EU's rotating presidency accompanied by his French counterpart, Bernard Kouchner and Carl Bildt of Sweden, as well as European External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

Last week, as Israeli Air strike began, Schwarzenberg announced that: "Since the cease-fire ended on the 19th od December, Hamas increased the rate of fire on Israel. It is not acceptable, and Israel has the right to defend itself".

Schwarzenberg, who country is considered to be a supporter of Israel, said today that "Israel must reach its goals by means of cease-fire".
