Furthermore, the Jerusalem Post reported that Likud chairman and opposition leader, Binyamin Netanyahu, called on Sunday night to fire Science, Culture and Sports Minister Ghaleb Majadle, or to "at least find a way to expel him."

"It is inconceivable that a minister in the Israeli government identifies with the enemy during warfare," said Netanyahu. Majadle had spoken out against the Gaza operation and was absent from a cabinet discussion on the subject Sunday morning.
