City Of David Rally for a United Jerusalem
Likud Anglos joined and many hundreds of concerned Israelis from every region of the country, to launch the new "Coalition for Jerusalem" November 14, 2007 at Ir David (the City Of David). The unprecedented coalition, organized by Likud MK Yisrael Katz, includes MKs from Likud, as well as from Kadima, Yisrael Beitenu, and Shas, who oppose any negotiations on the borders of Jerusalem.
As the sun set on the beautiful ancient Jewish site adjoining the Old City, Benjamin Netanyahu and leaders from across the political spectrum spoke out passionately on the central importance of Jerusalem to the Jewish people under a banner which read "Protect Jerusalem". The unprecedented coalition, organized by Likud MK Yisrael Katz, includes MKs from Likud, as well as from Kadima, Yisrael Beitenu, and Shas, who oppose any negotiations on the borders of Jerusalem. The crowd was welcomed by Mayor Uri Lupolianski. Other Likud leaders participating in the Ir David rally included MKs Ruby Rivlin, Michael Eitan, Limor Livnat, and Gilad Erdan.
