Tzipi Hotobeli was born in 1978 to parents who immigrated to Israel from Georgia, in the FSU, and she grew up in Rehovot. She attended the Bnei Akiva Ulpana in Tel Aviv and did her post-high school national service as a Jewish Agency representative in Atlanta, Georgia. Afterward, she was sent by International Bnei Akiva to be an emissary in Paris.
Hotobeli went on to earn a B.A. and M.A. degrees from Bar Ilan University. She served as editor of the Law Review at Bar-Ilan University and is currently studying for her PhD in law at Tel Aviv University. She also has an extensive education in Jewish studies.
Hotobeli began to represent Israel's national interests as a spokesperson when she was sent to South Africa on behalf of WUJS to represent Israel.
Tzipi Hotobeli first came to widespread public attention when she was invited by Dan Margalit to represent a right-wing position on a political talk show on Israel's Channel Ten, a role that she has filled for three years . She is a publicist for national and religious issues and writes a column for the Maariv daily and for the NRG internet site on Jewish issues.
The issues that interest her as a potential parliamentarian are education, protecting Jewish rights to the land, and waging a successful hasbarah campaign to improve Israel's image in the world.
