Chairman of the Likud, Benjamin Netanyahu was interviewed yesterday afternoon at the Metzuda Likud headquarters by China’s television network. This was the second time in the past week that Netanyahu has been interviewed for Chinese television at the request of the Israeli embassy in Beijing.

The Chinese journalist Huijun from Phoenix TV, said that at the end of the interview that Netanyahu was very popular in China, still from his term as prime minister. A quarter billion Chinese will watch the interview. Netanyahu said that it is forbidden to give Hamas a license to shoot rockets towards Israel. Hamas is a danger to all of humanity, not only to Israel. Netanyahu said: “People that hide behind children, constitute a danger to the free world.” Netanyahu emphasized that the purpose of the war is to stop the shooting of rockets by Hamas now and in the future.

Yaalon describes his experience in Israeli politics over the years and his reasoning for his transition from the Labor to the Likud party. He describes an erosion of the independent Jewish state  after Oslo and the disengagement, and says that a change in the strategy of the Jewish homeland is needed.
